I connected with another photographer on Twitter today. While checking out her photography website and blog I came across this amazing TEDx talk by Chris Orwig on seeing the extraordinary in the ordinary.
One of the things that struck a deep chord with me was his description of being a poet, or visual poet in the case of the photographer. Poets are known for leaving things out or carefully selecting those things to include in a poem.
So it is with family photo shoots. Sometimes it's a matter of what you don't include or maybe do include. At all times the aim is to entice the viewer to ask questions, to consider the subject, and mine deeper for nuggets of gold.
I'd love to create some visual poetry for you this summer. Experience the difference a poetic portrait photographer can bring to your family photo shoot. and let's get creative - it's a masterpiece waiting to be composed.
