I visited Winnats Pass and Castleton yesterday for some landscape photography and get to know the area a little better. The first half an hour or so when the sun was streaming down and the fog was swirling around in the Pass had me entranced and I practically flew up the ridge looking for the best vantage point to capture this amazing vista. I am blessed to be able to do this for my job. I love it and I hope it comes across in my work.
More and more while shooting landscape scenes I've been producing panoramas. This involves taking a number of images, usually between 3 and 6 which are then digitally stitched together in my editing software, giving a much wider view of the scene being photographed. You can view some I've already done in my Landscape Portfolio which includes one of Winnats Pass (from yesterday), part of which is covered in golden sunshine and the other in a blanket of thick fog.
Here's a little teaser trailer put together with some of the images from yesterday's shoot produced in iMovie.

Print images are available to purchase. Panoramas come in two sizes: 36 x 12 inches and 40 x 10 inches.
